What you should know before arriving to pick!
The last entrance to the picking fields will be at 3:30 and all fields must be cleared and guests checked out by 4pm.
Stay hydrated! We recommend bringing water
Wear clothing and shoes appropriate for a farm environment. Rain causes some areas to be muddy for 2+ days afterwards.
All bags and vehicles are subject to inspection upon checkout. (This is why) Unfortunately, produce theft is a major issue. You will be charged for any produce you pick that is not brought out to be weighed.
Are Pets Permitted at the Orchard?
Due to FDA regulations, Your pets are not allowed at the orchard. Government-certified (ADA) service dogs are permitted for personal assistance. We have the right to refuse any pets whose function is not that of a service dog.
Are there designated smoking areas at the Orchard?
We are a tobacco -,vaping- and alcohol-free facility without any designated smoking areas
Do you charge for parking at the Orchard?
Parking is always free at the orchard.
Do you know someone who will prune or manage my apple trees?
Yes! We are managing a local apple cooperative to enhance the production of local fruit trees. Please complete an inquiry on our website and we will follow up.
How should I store my apples?
To preserve the quality of your apples when you take them home, you should wash and refrigerate them. Minimizing exposure to oxygen and heat will give your apples the longest shelf life. Varieties vary in shelf life and because our apples are picked at their peak of freshness, they should be used as soon as possible.
Are you an organic orchard?
Remember, organic does not mean untreated. We are an Integrated Pest Management Farm. Whenever possible, we treat with natural methods, such as pruning, irrigation, traps, horticultural oils, and predatory insects.
Do you allow strollers or pull wagons?
Yes, strollers are allowed everywhere on the property. However, we cannot allow them on our hayride wagons. If you would like to use your stroller in the orchard, you are welcome to walk out into the orchard. Pull wagons are permitted in all outdoor areas and in the orchard but are not permitted inside our buildings or on our hayride wagons.
Does everyone who enters the Apple Picking Area have to have a bag to pick?
Each person over the age of 3 needs to purchase a bag to pick with. Children (age 4-18) and Seniors (age 65+) must have a 1/4 peck bag and Adults must have a 1/2 peck bag.
What restroom facilities are located on the farm?
A porta potty is located at the Farm Market.
Can we bring our own apple picker or our own picking bag?
Apple picking poles are not permitted in the orchard. We do not permit guests to bring their own bags into the Apple Picking Area. Bags can be purchased at the orchard entrance.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash and Venmo at this time but we hope to be able to accept all major credit/debit cards and Apple / Andriod Pay soon. We do not accept EBT cards at this time.
Do you have a military discount?
We thank you for your service! Show us your Military ID for 10% off all regularly priced admissions.
Do you do field trips / welcome large groups?
We do field trips on a case-by-case basis. Please fill out our Field trip scheduling form. We do not book field trips on Fridays or Saturdays.
If you are a group of 15 or more, especially with children, please contact us prior to your arrival to make sure we have everything ready for your group. We appreciate your business and want to make sure you have a great experience!
What is the inclement weather policy?
We reserve the right to close the apple orchard due to inclement weather (heavy rain, thunder, lighting, and/or winds) or Extreme (low/high) temperatures without advance notice in order to protect customers and employees.
Do you allow photographers to use the property for photo shoots?
Photographers are welcome to use the orchard for photo shoots during regular business hours. Any access to the orchard outside of business hours will need to be pre-approved. Appointments must be made in advance. Please email us from our contact section on our website or by contacting us through our Facebook page. To request an appointment for a photo session. We will reply and confirm your appointment once we have received the request.
Yes, but there are a few rules. Everyone must purchase a pass to enter the orchard & can only visit during normal business hours. Props and lighting hardware are prohibited. If you use photographs of our orchard for advertising or social media, please give us credit or tag us. And lastly, please remember we are open to the public and you are only permitted to photograph your clients and respect the space of our other guests.
When are apples ready to pick?
Our apple-picking season starts the last week of July and runs to the beginning of November. U-Pick will begin the first of August.
What other crops are grown at the orchard and when are they available?
Blackberries- July
